Beans and Barley
Welcome to Beans and Barley! This is one of my all-time favorite Milwaukee restaurants...and a well-loved place for Sunday Brunch.

You'll generally end up waiting at least 20 minutes for a table during the Sunday brunch rush. If you're not in the mood for waiting, which I am often NOT in the mood for :) - you can always wait for a seat at the counter. First come - first serve! Although I do have to admit that the food is well worth the wait.
Some of my personal favorites are the eggs benedict (I recommend the avocado - tomato eggs benedict), the almond french toast, the lox plate (extra cream cheese, of course), the hummus and pita appetizer or hummus and vegetable pocket (a delicious lunch option), the grilled vegetable sandwich and any of the burritos....oh, and I almost forgot the incredible homemade soup with a side of roll and butter!
And of course the beverages - the coffee is excellent as is the hot chocolate, and I'd highly recommend the half orange-half carrot juice or a shot of wheat grass. Whatever you order, I'm sure you'll be satisfied! While half of the building is dedicated to the restaurant that includes an outside patio for summertime dining, the other half is dedicated to the deli (where you can purchase all of their menu items for take out) and a market where you can purchase food, wine, organic skin care products, candles, and misc. fun trinkets. Click on any of the pictures on this page to visit the Beans and Barley official website for more information including a full menu. If you've never been here for a visit, this is a "must do"! Enjoy!
