The Chamber Theater
As the website indicates: The mission of the Milwaukee Chamber Theater is to produce intimate, high-quality, professional theatrical works of literary merit that engage and challenge the audience, while employing and nurturing principally local theatre artists.
This theater is a relatively small, intimate theater located in the 3rd Ward that has put on some fabulous plays over the years.
That statement says it beautifully, and I would have to say that they have achieved their mission. The actors and actresses are phenomenal and I have been dazzled and delighted every time I have attended a performance. The theater is such that you feel like you’re a part of the performance, and you get an up close connection with the actors and the story line. More information can be obtained at: Chamber Theatre (opens new window) 158 North Broadway Milwaukee, WI (414) 291-7800I was able to see Angels in America at this theater back in 1997. It was phenomenal! The acting was superb and I think that the understated nature of this theater further helped to immerse the audience in the performance. This is a theater that you attend for the sheer brilliance of the acting. This is one theater that should be added to your list!
