Perhaps this is a temporary stop on your way to other exciting destinations, in which case you may be more interested in the Milwaukee airport hotels.

Milwaukee is fairly straightforward geographically, and there are some basic areas of the city that you’ll want to be familiar with if you’re visiting.

The Downtown Area provides easy access to the lakefront, theaters, sporting events, museums, concerts and nightlife. The Downtown Area is also close to many attractions, such as the Bradley Center, the Midwest Airlines Center and the US Cellular Arena.

The Airport is located on the far South side of Milwaukee, and may be convenient to you if you do not intend to spend a great deal of time in the city. The West side of Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and Brookfield are located a few miles west of the downtown area, and house several major shopping malls, the Milwaukee Zoo, and Miller Park, Home of the Milwaukee Brewers. If these are your areas of interest, you may want to explore hotels in Wauwatosa or hotels in Brookfield.

Both the North side and the South sides of Milwaukee have attractions and areas of interest, however they are comprised of predominantly residential neighborhoods.

Ambassador Hotel Milwaukee - Completely renovated to its original charm and splendor, this hotel is one of Milwaukee’s finest.

Astor Hotel Milwaukee - The Astor Hotel is unique in that it is available for brief or extended stays. Many of the rooms are sold as condominiums or are rented out for extended periods of time.
