This is Milwaukee County’s only public lakefront marina, and is home to some 655 vessels. The boating season lasts from May 1st through October 31st and the marina is managed by the Milwaukee County Parks System.

More information on pricing, launch sites, and how to get on the waiting list for open slips can be found at the official website listed above. There are several boats in the marina that are available for tours of Lake Michigan – signs are often posted on the boats themselves, along with any contact information. Walking around the marina, or Veterans Park, is the best way to find information about these tours. If you’ve never accessed the pier it’s worth taking a walk out on. The pier is located right next to the marina, and offers some beautiful views of the Milwaukee skyline. It's also a favorite spot for fishing!

I love our pier! It's nice and spacious and has safety features like a railing to hold onto if you're a little 'jittery' about the possibility of falling into the lake.Ok...I'M a little jittery about falling into the lake! Hey, that water's cold! And I was REALLY grateful for our pier after I went out on the pier in Port Washington during the Fish Day celebration. At one point that pier was only about 4 feet across with nothing to hang onto! Scary!! :) As long as you're touring the marina and walking out on the pier, you might as well stop by Veteran's Park to fly a kite, rent a bike, float across the lagoon in a paddle boat, play frisbee, or just hang out! The Milwaukee Lakefront has so much to offer, and the marina is but one of it's many attractions. Enjoy!
